'Harbinger' is a Manx Nobby converted to a gaff cutter, she was built some time before 1917, when the last Nobby was built. She underwent a major rebuild between 1975-1985 in Shoreham. Register of Historic Vessels no 3534.

The spacious cockpit has a wide bridge deck and seats each side with storage under. Headroom in accommodation 6ft, galley, to port, has gimballed gas stove with 2 burners and oven/grill, s/s sink draining overboard. Saloon with quarter berth to starboard, settee berths with chart table over starboard settee. At forward end of saloon is a bulkhead with solid fuel stove and access to foc'sle and heads. Variety of lockers and stowage throughout., 2 x 30 gallon water tanks, cold only manually pumped to heads and the galley.
Double ended ex fishing boat with long keel. Carvel planked in larch on oak frames, all now doubled and a few tripled. Fastened with iron nails.
Ballast internal, mostly sash weights, lead ingots, some pig iron all held on mild steel cradles clear of the hull planking.
Ground tackle: Main anchor: 40lb CQR w 35m galvanised chain marked every 5m. 20lb Danforth for use as kedge SL manual anchor winch on fore deck. Additional 30m unused galvanised chain could be added to main chain or used with the kedge.
Tender: clinker stitched & glued construction from a kit, capacity 2 adults and gear.
Garmin 128 GPS ICOM IC-M411 VHF/DSC, Plastimo contest 130 steering compass, NASA 2 log and depth instruments.
Internal engine: 29HP 3 cylinder Volvo Penta 2003 series new in 1984, engine hours unknown, approx 600 since hour meter first fitted in early 2014. Single lever cable, range 250hrs - 1000nm. Last serviced December 2019. Tiller steering, fixed 3 blade 14" diameter propeller. Freshwater closed circuit w heat exchanger. 2 x 14 gallon fuel tanks

A separate 240v shore power circuit with fused double pole isolating switch is installed with 5 double sockets distributed throughout the vessel. Connecting cable to shoreside supply.
Lifebuoys x 2, 1 with 100' floating line, the other with short floating line and automatic flashing buoy.
Steel stanchions w s/s guard wires with gateways fitted 2019. Jackstays on deck. Lifelines with carbine hooks for crew lifejacket harnesses.
