Nelson 42, a serious work vessel. Robustly built GRP by Halmatic of Havant in 1973/4 commissioned by Trinity House. She worked for the Liverpool Pilotage. Sold out of service in 1985. Present owner carried out a complete refit on her Osmosis treatment and re-engined her on his purchase of her in 1988. Lucie B was built from scratch in just 4 months. Ashley Butler and his team Faversham in 2005. Ashley while working on another Smack made a half model of Lucie B. He drew her lines and built the vessel. He sourced local trades to supply the materials for her and her rig. Fitted her with a sensible sized reliable new Beta Marine engine.
