The coast guard boat KBV 101 was built at the shipyard Karlskronavarvet Sweden and was commissioned in 1969. A feature of this project is reinforced hull up to 12 millimeters allowing movement in ice up to 20 centimeters. The mover during this operation is two heavy three-blade propellers; when operating in high-speed mode, light five-blade propellers are used, which allow to develop speed up to 22 knots. There are no storm restrictions. At the same shipyard in 1983, the boat was completely modernized, superstructure, main and auxiliary mechanisms were completely replaced. Currently, the boat is equipped with the main engines 2 + Cummins KTA 38M, 1532KW, 16000 hours. Auxiliary engines 2 + Marine Dieselite 35MDP-4 31KW / 380V 2980 hours.

In 1996, the Swedish coast guard boat was handed over to Lithuania for further service in the coast guard and was in its ranks until 2014, its main activities were to service mooring line, and participate in national celebrations. Throughout her service, condition was maintained in constant readiness. In 2014, she was released of her duties as coast guard boat. In May 2016 boat was lifted to the dock and all related work was done, the hull and all its components are in excellent condition.
