MULTI PURPOSE SURVEY VESSEL - Wright International Ltd realises that serious Survey work requires serious vessels to perform it. This superb 68m vessel has full facilities on board for up to 52 Scientists and Crew and is fully rigged for diving. Survey Work covers a multitude of actual work involved and that is where this vessel comes into its own. It already has an `A` frame, Derricks, 2 x Effer Cranes and 2 x Hiabb Cranes to allow all sorts of equipment to be deployed wherever you are using this vessel. Powered by FOUR engines this twin screw vessel can handle any weather known to man with consummate ease. Although it is presently out of class this 1960 vessel has had a partial refit in 1992 and again in 2001. It is ready to be reinstated and put back into Class to work anywhere in the world it is required.

36.4m LOA & (34.65m USL Measured Length) x 7.8m x 2.2m depth x 1.8 loaded draft
Capacities/Capabilities: Light ship displacement about 170 tonnes – loaded 330 – 340 tonnes. Deck strength 7tonnes/m3. Ramp (hydraulic) supports 35 tonne item.
Design & Build: Specifically designed for unlimited Australian operations in full accordance with the "35m measured length" requirements of the USL Code Steel Vessel Construction and the new NMSC rules.
The vessel was purpose designed in Australia to meet full Aust. operating standards, was fully approved by Government of Victoria, (Marine Safety Victoria (MSV) and is Classed for Unrestricted International Voyages by Bureau Veritas.(BV). Scantling sizes suitable to extend and widen vessel if required without changing machinery.
Machinery: Machinery is a full Hyundai (Korean) package, main engines are in line 6cyl
TCAC x 420hp at 2200 rpm, governed back to about 320 hp at 1600 rpm. Gearbox reductions are 4.3:1. Shafting 110mm x 316 stainless steel. Prop size 4 blade x 1143 diameter – manganese bronze cast, balanced and fitted under BV rules and supervision – Duramex seals – US manufactured, and ABS approved..
Tankage: 2 x 22 m3 self contained integral fuel tanks, not on ships bottom or sides – latest MARPOL “double skin” for operating in extreme environmental areas. Presently not set up for cargo fuel, but only a couple of valves to change from “Fresh Water” or “Ballast” would be about 150 tonnes cargo fuel.
Electrical: 2 x 35kva alternators, Hyundai 4 cyl power units onto Stamford electrical units. 415v x 3 phs x 50hz power supply.
Deck Area: 200m squared, sheathed over with timber.
Speed: 9 knots
International Tonnage Certified: Gross – 237, Nett 71 (1969 convention) applicable in Aust & NZ, well under "Convention Levels".
Accommodation: 4 x 2 berth cabins and 2 single berth (Master + Ch. Eng). All cabins have their own ensuite. Black and grey water holding tanks.
Other: Full JOTUN paint system, guarantee 5 years and 3 years underwater.
Survey: Built under BV and Australia supervision over the full construction period.
Vessel will deliver with full BV Class, International Unrestricted. .
Brokers Comments: This versatile and well designed vessel available following launching/sea trials mid/late April 09 in Philippines. Vessel was purpose designed with scantling sizes to enable the vessel to be easily extended by at least 8.5m and widened by 1.5 - 1.75m without effecting machinery or design speed.
