Short historic taken from The Coast Guard websites KV Garsøy was build in 1988 for transportation of troop (soldiers) to the Coast Castels between Meløy and Harstad in North Norway! (around 250 nautical miles) Around 1995 the vessel was rebuild to the Coast Guard. Operation district was from Stadt to Egersund.
