The "Ship" is totally self-contained, makes her own water, and has satellite communications systems that provide for continuous broadband service and satellite telephone. The vessel has a two bed hospital and carries adequate stores of food and supplies to support her crew and 30 additional
personnel for 45 days without re-supply. She has the ability to land and fuel small and medium size helicopters and store, launch and retrieve 3 small craft up to 15 tons and 36 ft. in length. She has temporary sheltering for over 100 survivors from disasters.

The "Ship" offers a full array of products including state of the art navigation systems, full GMDSS communications, SEATEL Broadband, dedicated command and control labs, helicopter decks, hospital and multiple support vessel capabilities. She meets or exceeds SOLAS requirements. She is fully heated and air-conditioned and her ice class hull is well insulated for Tropic and Arctic operations.
Built in 1966 at Norfolk Shilbuilding, she had a major refit and modification in 2006 at Seattle Shipyard. Her American crew is experienced USCG licensed mariners who are ex-military or have MSC experience.
The "Ship" is the finest Maritime Security Support Craft specifically configured for special maritime operations.

Main Engines: Twin General Motors, Electromotive Diesel, Model LR8-657-CR, eight cylinder,
naturally aspired, air starting, fresh water cooled by heat exchanger, 820 @ 800 rpm shaft
horsepower.
Gears: Lufkin, Model VQ - 1818, 2.6:1 ratio reduction/reverse gears driving two 6.0 in. dia. steel tail
shafts.
AC Service Generators: Two General Electric 450 volt AC, 250 KW, three phase generating units,
each powered by one Detroit Diesel Model 8V-71 N, air starting fresh water cooled through hear
exchanger, diesel engines.
Emergency AC Services Generator: One General Electric, Model 5504404P23Y16, 450 volt AC, 60
KW three phase generating unit powered by one Detroit Diesel, Model 4V-71 N, four cylinder hydro
starting, fresh water cooled through radiator diesel engine.
Tanks: Eighteen integral steel tanks with vents and shut-off valves at tanks.
Piping: Steel supply and return lines through strainer, water trap, and filters to engine with flex lines
and shut off valves at engines.
Propellers: Bird Johnson/KaMe Wa controllable pitch propellers.
Centrifuge: One Alfa Laval electric powered centrifuge.
Transfer Pumps: One 2" and one 1 1/2" electrically driven transfer pump.
Seawater Pumps: Bilge, Ballast and fire pumps fitted.
Watermakers: One reverse osmosis unit rated at 4000 gpd and one reverse osmosis united rated at
1800 gpd.
One fitted, MARPOL compliant Marine sanitary device.
Air Compressors: Two fitted for m/e starting and general service.
