The vessel is a modern and comfortable research/expedition/accommodation vessel, Built in 1991 in Finland, and designed as ice-strengthened vessels. The vessel is ideally suited for offshore accommodation purposes and expedition/research cruises.
The vessel is strongly built of steel with an ice-strengthened hull, perfect for the polar seas. She is manned by a crew of around 20.
The vessel has a large bridge and good open deck-viewing areas.
Excellent offshore catering, prepared by international chefs, can be served in the dining room, which can also act as the lecture or briefing room. Other public areas include a lounge and bar, small library, infirmary, and sauna.

Transport
The vessel can be towed in calm inshore waters very efficiently and without any problem.
For long distance sea transportation a large semi-submersible ship would be required on to which the hotel ship could be floated and then secured. This has been done before. The ship yard has also designed the necessary fixings and loading arrangements to enable it to be safely transported on a slightly smaller semi-submersible ship thereby making a re-positioning voyage much more affordable and cost-effective
Towing
The following procedures have to be adopted if you wish to tow the vessel:
• One tug in front and one tug behind
• The front tug must have a minimum 400PK power capacity
• The rear tug must have a minimum 700PK power capacity
• Fenders and standard towing equipment will also be required

Reconstructed Danish minesweeper
Description:
The vessel is built for the Danish navy in 1941 at the shipyard in Korsor Lillo, the ship is one of a series of 10 shallow water Minesweeper, all named with MS, this is MS 8 Ship search for mines in domestic Danish waters until after the war.
Later it was used for training and cadet ship. Finally released to service in the naval home guard in Horsens in approx. 30 years. The ship left the fleet in 1999 and then arranged as a charter vessel approved for sailing with up to 25 persons.
The ship is the last 4 years been used for charter and projects and housing for the skipper and mate. The vessel is ideal for angling / diving ship as there are approx. 45 m. low side, and a draft of only 1.5 m. The vessel is inspected and approved by the Maritime Board, all licenses and certificates are ok. The ship is in a good condition. There are over the last 4 years spent EUR 54.000, - for replacement and renewal, mostly in electronics and equipment.
Navigation: 2. Furuno Radar, 2 pcs. GPS, Autopilot, Furuno depth sounder, Navtext, PC. Typhoons, foghorn with automatic, sirens, bells, music / PA systems.
Communication: 3 VHF: 1 DSC vhf, vhf 1, 1 hand held. Div radio receivers, auto radio CD.
Safety: 2 x 25 man Viking life rafts. 1 x 16 "sink free jolly boat, 5 people dinghy. 15 hp tuhatsu, Fire Reporting System, Fire extinguishing system in engine room, 30 pieces lifejackets, 28 piece TPU. Galley: Gas with oven, fridge, cooker hood cupboard cabinet. Everything from September 2005.
Fitting: Salon, with 8 berths, dining table for 8 persons. Cupboards, 27 "flat screen TV, DVD, surround. Room with 2 berths little table creation. Toilet with shower, closets. Room with double bed, cupboards, sink, television. Corridor, with much cupboard space. Middle cargo compartment with freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, cupboards. This tug boat is in use and fully aproved by the danish ships inspection authorities. She have quite a lot of new electronics onboard, have had the propeller, propeller shaft and rudder shaft just overhauled and have had nozzle fitted lately as well as the stem extended and made for taking higher waves.
The engine only have app. 450 hours from new, and the boat are generally in very good condition.
Inspection can be made to prior agreement with this office.
We still haven't received the documents on the vessel, why we can't tell the year of production yet. Call us for price and further discussion on pictures, spec. etc. |
