The ninth HMS ENTERPRISE A71, built by M.W. Blackmore & Sons in Bideford in 1959, was an Echo Class Inshore Hydrographic Survey Ship, and showed her flag around Eastern England and in Belgium, Dutch and German ports on the North Sea Coast. Affectionately known in the Navy as 'The Starship', she was de-commissioned in 1985, and sold to a private owner. Well maintained over the years, she is up and running, and currently moored at Carlingford Lough in Ireland.
Now, reluctantly, this wonderful ship is offered for sale, as her owner is returning to England. |
