Commercial: 64 m (210') PRICE REDUCED
Featured Advert! Click here for more photos and information
64 m (210') PRICE REDUCED THE OWNER IS LOOKING TO SELL OR TRADE THIS VESSEL ALL SERIOUS OFFERS CONSIDERED : OVER 2 MILLION WAS SPENT ON HER LAST DRY DOCKING SO ALL THE IMPORTANT WORKS HAVE BEEN DONE. The new owner only needs to make changes for their own goals. This vessel was until 2002 an active research and survey vessel in the Canadian Coast guard. All her systems are maintained to a very high standard while in service which included constant upgrades and refit in 1999 prior to her being sold for private use. From 10/08 until 03/09 she was dry docked and completely serviced as the first stage for her conversion to a pleasure yacht. This included inspection and service to her (2) x 1650 deutz engines ( in perfect order ), complete rebuild of (2) Cat: 3408 AC generators, pulling and rebuilding both propeller shafts, rebuild of both Rolls Royce variable pitch props and systems, rebuild of clutch and gear systems to main engines, blasting and bottom paint, new anodes, blasting and paint above water line, new timber deck. These represent the larger items that were completed during the refit however many other services were finished in the same period. Should the new owner wish to maintain her as a research vessel it is important to note that she also has Upper & lower hydrographic labs connected by a service elevator, and also a dry lab in the aft. One of the hyhrographic labs is refrigerated. For storage she has deck space for (1) 20 ft. container and a 80 m3 approx. cargo hold. With her 17,000 nm range and cruising speed of 14 kts she is ready to go anywhere in the world. Currently sailing in the Caribbean on a private research charter and available for inspection.

Commercial: 35m Salvage/Buoy/dive
Featured Advert! Click here for more photos and information
35m Salvage/Buoy/dive Ex Rmas - navy insect class - Scan Scarab, ex Scarab bouy tender converted in 1997 to salvage/dive vessel. Currently offered for sale "as is where is". With the current owners since 1997 the Scarab had extensive work undertaken by Cammell Lairds to Lloyds classification with the installation of a 20 ton twin wire derrick, bridge controlled. On deck there is a DD winch with 500m x 2 of 24mm crane wire making full use of a 10 ton bow roller. Built for the navy in 1971 to Lloyds spec, the vessel undertook a 25 year SS to bring it into commercial class and has remained in Lloyds A100 LMC ever since. Naval specification has ensured that the quality of the steel and thickness built by D C Holmes was of the highest grade and was reinforced for the specialised operations that the vessel undertook as a buoy handler. With hold space for 200 tons, the Scarab also has the addition of a six point mooring system that can be operated to 200m. Bridge controlled navigation system is by DGPS linked to a CMAP computerised charting system. Whilst the auto pilot is linked into the system along with the gyro. With 2 military spec 501 radars, there is exceptional coverage whilst at sea. There is a suprising amount of accomodation, 16 bunks in 6 cabins with the ability to increase even more. Two seperate showers and wash rooms and two toilets the vessel also has two mess rooms of which one can easily converted to additional cabin space. A large dry stores room could also be converted to additional accomodation. Used as a salvage vessel the Scarab has a full dive spread on board including HP and LP compressors, air tanks and a surface gas control panel and system. Rarely do insect class vessel come to market, much larger than the normal fleet tenders the insect class have been used for numerous conversion projects including super yacht (Fyne Spirit, www.seadays.de) Further info on www.echoscan.co.uk
