Gorgeous Gussy is a 40ft x 9ft open decked fishing boat / pleasure boat on a wooden planked hull. Has a 6l ford diesel engine in running order. The history is mostly unknown to myself, although a search of the name online will reveal it's former use as a 58 seat pleasure boat in Llandudno. This boat is being sold due to unpaid mooring fees under the Tort (interference with property) act 1977. Viewing welcome by arrangement. |

Proven MCA Class V & VI Passenger Vessel for sale currently lying in Torbay due to new replacement vessel in process of being purchased. Well built and maintained converted HM Customs Launch built 1972 at Appledore Shipyard. Recently refitted, in ready to sail condition with good sea keeping capabilities. Seats 80 passengers comfortably with licensed bar and toilet and powered by 2 twin Leyland Thorneycroft AV760 engines one which was replaced new a season ago and one reconditioned two seasons ago and twin self changing 2:1 reduction hydraulic gearboxes. Vessel has 240v Generator, 12/24 Volt electrics and separate pumping generator, twin fresh water holding tanks and a fuel capacity of 520 gallons. Vessel carries all the latest safety equipment which is owned other than the life raft which is hired through colsalt and navigational equipment to comply with her classification and also has a load line certificate and light ships test and recently underwent all new engine room fire protection installation, bilge pumping, new shafts, propellers and external cutlass bearings this year. Permanent D'Fendering all round. Potential Usage: Commercial Workboat, Inter-island Ferry due to good sea keeping capabilities or as she is currently a passenger vessel. I have for sale the mould used to contruct a 19mtr cat , as you can see in the photos 4 have been made and used for passenger work and have proved very successful , however they could be used for fishing, wind farm or pleasure . The mould is built to a very high standard and is able to be transport via road , also included are hull supports , ring deck moulds and stern trim mould . All steel, widebeam(12ft),canal boat with a traditional stern, built by John White to a specification of 10.6.4
Purpose built as a restaurant boat it has large access doors to both port and starboard and large picture windows to the full length of the cabin along with a fully enclosed cockpit.
Delivered new in July 2007 this boat is designed to offer the comfort, space and luxury required by the current market.
Romance is fully equipped with a spacious kitchen containing two New World gas fired range cookers, two fridges, three sinks and ample storage and work surfaces.
The main cabin is accessed via large side doors and wide stairs to either side and contains from the rear, two toilets with pump out loos and hand basins, to the starboard side is the bar area with counter and storage for glassware, the main cabin contains 7 x 4 seat dining booths which offer comfort and space for dining plus 2 x 2 seat dining tables in the bow lounge area.
The boat has a Vetus Marine Diesel 80Hp propulsion engine together with a Vetus Marine Diesel 13.5Kva cocooned generator, Webasto diesel fired central heating and all required safety equipment.
MCA Passenger Certificate for use in Class A Waters - canals suitable for wide beam boats of this type - please note that this boat is not suitable for rivers (Class B)
To commission this boat now would cost about £150,000.
As a business this boat would benefit from a move to a more densely populated area.
A great business opportunity for someone with drive and enthusiasm.

The boiler is specially built for the boat in 2007 by McEwans boiler makers in Yorkshire, a loco style wood clad item with attractive copper steam dome.
