This vessel is a 29.98 metre single screw round bilge displacement mono hull of steel construction that is up for many different tasks. She has a beam of 5.70 metre and draws 2.40 metres. Originally constructed to JG survey for use as a training and research vessel for the Japanese and fishing industry. She has been exceptionally well maintained by both the previous and the current owners. Conversion in 2000 to suit the Australian Long Line Fishery has been carried out professionally and to a very high standard. The vessel has also been revised and upgraded to meet the latest requirements of "Severe Wind and Wave" and "Water On Deck" as assigned for vessel operating over 600nm from the Australian coast (open water unlimited area). She is powered by a single Yanmar 6 cylinder in line turbo M200ST producing 800hp at 900 rpm. She has 6 fuel tanks totalling 40,000 litres and steamed from Japan to the South West of Australia 'non stop'. Has 2 gensets, a Yanmar 6 cylinder 3 phase 60hz 80 KVA and a Yanmar 4 cylinder 60 hz. Her list of equipment, pumps, electronics, machinery and fittings is far to comprehensive to even attempt to list here. Theriault International Marine is pleased to present this priliminary GA of a 125' Longline vessel that is currently undergoing the custom design process (Sept/09) as a new build for one of our clients in South America.
This vessel will have an offshore capability of aprox 28-30 longline sets with consideration given to the offshore ranges for worry free voyages to and from the fishing grounds with enough crew, fuel and general provisions not to mention vessel seaworthiness to get the job done.
This Particular vessel in it's preliminary design stages is proposed to have a full Cummins engine room with owners preference of a twin screw application to assure extra reliability on offshore voyages. Bottom auto bait Longline system to be supplied by Mustad and a Surface longline system to be supplied by Lindgren and Pitman.
Theriault International Marine has been asked to assist with everything after the clients inital idea of the vessel at the point we was contacted, from competitive finance package, full design, total construction and final delivery.
Specifications shown are for current client and the proposed new construction project, but can be custom made to any buyers specification requirements or personal preferences.

A very large capacity vessel. Built in 1968 full full Lloyd spec. Powered by 16 cyldr, 2400 hp English Electric. Has 2 large Cummins Gensets (approx 80KVa). Oily Water separator, Cummins Aux for hydraulics, compressors and many additional components in the engine room. All manuals and service logs on board. She sleeps 11 in 5 cabins. Galley, mess etc all catered for.
On the aft is a large Hiab crane and many winches. There are also some nets. Refrigeration is on the main deck and below deck with snap frezeers, cold stores and ice rooms.
The helm contains radar, plotter, 2 x sounders, weather fax, autopilot etc.
She has been located at this yard in the water for some years and not run. Will take some attention in the engine room to get her going again, but priced accordingly. She is extremely well built and large ocean going vessel. A refit and it would be a very cheap way to own this vessel. The fact that she has had no work done on her for a few years is a credit to her build as there is no major rust evident throughout the vessel. Inspection worth while. |
