Theriault International Marine is honoured to exclusively present through our respected Global Offshore Marine Energy Management team a retired HMS ship for sale to the commercial sector. This ship "Sir Percivale" is the last of a series of five sister vessels that were built in the UK during 1967/68 – St Bedivier 67 -Sir Galahad 67- Sir Geraint 67 -Sir Tristram 67 & Sir Percivale 68, as a Landing Ship Logistic (LSL) with dimensions of 413.3' / 366.2' X 59.8' X 26.0' depth / 13.10' laden draft. LR +100A1, +LMC Class 1 RO-RO Passenger (class lapsed). U.K. registry. G /NRT 6207 / 1862.
The six original vessels in this class were ordered by the Ministry of Transport and operated by he British Indian Steam Navigation Company on behalf of the British Army until 1970 and subsequently transferred to the Royal Fleet Auxiliary. The vessels were manned by the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, (RFA) but tasked by the Army. Classified as landing ships logistics (LSL), the class are a cross between a Roll On / Roll Off vessel and a landing ship.
Their main roles and capabilities have been to carry troops vehicles and equipment, and are also capable of carrying aircraft on the helicopter pad behind the main structure. The ships were used for heavy secure transportation of stores fuel and water – embarked by both bow and stern doors – and used for beach assault landings. Fitted for bow and stern loading with drive-through facilities and deck-to-deck ramps. Facilities provided were for onboard maintenance of vehicles and for laying out pontoon equipment. Mexeflote (self-propelled floating platforms which can be strapped one either side). Vessel has facilities to carry ammunition, repair vehicles & equipment.
Vessel is flat bottomed for beaching. Hull reportedly sound at last inspection with no leaks known. Stern door closed & locked and forward bow gate presently welded shut. Accommodation is for troops + vehicles & equipment. Vessels capacity is 51 crew (18 officers) Military lift; (15 officers) 340 troops (534 hard lying); 17 or 18 Tanks; 34 mixed vehicles; 120 tons POL; 30 tons ammunition; Capacity for 20 helicopters (11 tank deck and 9-vehicle deck)
Sir Percivale was a very well constructed vessel, built to Lloyds Class, and was maintained to a high standard throughout her life, which is evident by her current condition. The vessel was reported to have operated under her own power up until November 2004. It should be noted that the vessel does contain asbestos, all of which will be sealed by commercial contractors to the account of the present owners prior to delivery. The vessel is operated by direct reversing, and therefore has no reduction gear or clutch mechanism.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE BEFORE CONTACTING REGARDING FURTHER DETAILS OR TO ARRANGE INSPECTION ON THIS SHIP: New owners must declare which Flag the vessel will fly, and describe the nature of the intended future operation of the vessel, prior to any agreement to sell the ship can be concluded. |

24m CREW BOAT - Wright International Ltd is delighted to announce our latest addition to our already successful range of CREW BOATS. This boat has been designed and built specifically for a very valued customer of Wright International Ltd. Designed to carry 24 Passengers and six crew at speeds of up to 25 knots, this vessel answers most requirements for Crew Boats for offshore operations.
Powered by twin Caterpillar 3412E engines which has been designed with a cruising speed of around 18 knots and maximum speed of 25 knots. What has separated this vessel from all our other vessels is the attention to detail put in by our Naval Architect. As an example the power is transmitted through ZF 3000A gearboxes as the performance curve with this combination is exactly what our customer is looking for. The electronics have been kept simple but extremely functional as the twin Raymarine E120 fully incorporate Radar, GPS Plotter facility, Echo-sounder and CCTV allowing the Captain to know exactly what he wants from his high quality Norsap hydraulically dampened leather helm seat.
The crew accommodation area is accessed via a staircase from the passenger seating area and there is a staircase leading to the crew mess area. The air conditioned crew accommodation area contains 4 self contained cabins with bunks and lockers. A separate toilet shower cubicle with pressurised toilet, wash basin and shower. The main cargo deck is lined with 1.75” thick sapapura hardwood timber. The cargo deck has a minimum load carrying capacity of 20 tonnes.
Wright International Ltd can arrange for this vessel to be built for you in less than NINE MONTHS and all you have to is contact either Robert or Greig and leave the rest to Wright International Ltd.
